MapX has been a real enabler for Hyresgästföreningen’s dialogue method "Örat mot marken" — a dialogue we’ve had with 5,000–6,000 people out in their own neighbourhoods. Fast and effortless to use for doorstep conversations, and visual and clear for analysis and follow-up with tenants, property owners, the city, and academia. I can warmly recommend this tool for community dialogues.
In the research project Citizen Participation in Densification Projects we tested MapX and saw that it has great potential as a tool for strengthening democracy. By bringing together, in one visualisation, both what residents think of their area and what they want for it, politicians and officials were given a solid basis for decisions.
